JAKARTA – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA/FAS) in Jakarta is pleased to announce “Rasa Amerika” (Flavors of America), an exciting showcase of U.S. agricultural products and part of our yearlong celebration of 250 years of U.S. independence, to be held at Sarinah Mall on Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Thirteen U.S. agricultural commodity groups will participate in the showcase, including Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, California Milk Advisory Board, Washington Apple Commission, USA Rice, USA Pulses, American Pistachios, U.S. Meat Export Federation, Cotton Council International, Medjool Dates, California Raisins, Food Export USA, U.S. Soybean Export Council, and U.S. Wheat Associates.

“This two-day event will highlight quality U.S. agricultural products, promote cultural and culinary exchange, and further strengthen the U.S.-Indonesia bilateral relationship,” said U.S. Agricultural Counselor Lisa Ahramjian.

“Rasa Amerika” will feature interactive U.S. product showcase booths, food tastings, and cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs.  The program will also include a baking competition using U.S. wheat flour and raisins, a fashion show featuring U.S. cotton, live stage performances, influencer engagements, virtual reality activities, mascot appearances, and photo booth experiences.  Health promotion activities will be held on Sunday morning as part of event programming.

In conjunction with the event, Foodhall will launch a special “Rasa Amerika” retail promotion at its Jakarta stores from January 31 to February 28, 2026, offering exclusive discounts to customers who purchase U.S. products and encouraging them to discover new American food and beverage offerings.  “Rasa Amerika” is open to the public and promises a unique opportunity to experience the best of American agriculture, cuisine, and culture.
